31 May 2009 On the GASR WG meeting in Istanbul in March 2009 the new Exploratory groups started working. The Exploratory groups are working on moving material from the GAR-draft into a Aerodrome Regulation. This work will then be adopted by EASA but a Aerodrome Regulation from EASA is estimated 2013. The Exploratory groups take full consideration ICAO Annex 14 including new amendments. The second GASR WG / Exploratory groups meeting was held 25th - 28th of May in the beautiful city of Prague.

28 September 2008 GASR WG members are preparing for the WG meeting this week in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The meeting will commence on Wednesday the 1st October and end early afternoon on the 2nd of October. The agenda for the meeting can be viewed here.

2nd May 2008: Next GASR WG meeting will be in Lissabon, 3rd-4th of June 2008. Invitation to the meeting has already been sent to WG members. Task force leaders are reminded that any changes to working papers, other than pure editorial changes, need to be supported by justification and reasoning in writing. Task force leaders are also reminded, if they want papers to be published on this site (in the GAR page), to send the files to the GASR Chairman who will forward them to webmaster for publishing on the site.

19th March 2008: The GASR WG meeting in Gatwick is moving closer on the calendar. It will start at 0900 on the 1st of April and end at noon on the 2nd.

4th January 2008: Next GASR WG meeting will be held in Gatwick 1st and 2nd of April 2008. CAA UK is hosting this 51st meeting. The meeting place is at The Aviation House, Gatwick Airport South, West Sussex, RH6 0YR, UK. Invitation E-mails have already been sent to the GASR WG members.

3rd January 2008: New website for the GASR Working Group is launced today. The main purpose of the new site is to publish the GASR Aerodrome Regulation (GAR) drafts as they develope. Information about meetings, minutes from meetings and other information will also be published here on the page. Information about the GASR Aerodrome Courses will be published on this site and a link is provided to the Joint Aviation Authorities Training Organization (JAAT) in Hoofddorp. Implementation of aerodrome regulation in Europe will be followed and a link is provided to EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).

3rd January 2008: New Chairman of the GASR WG was elected during the last meeting which was the 50th meeting of the GASR WG. The meeting was held in Brussels, 27th - 29th of November 2007, courtesy of the Belgian CAA. There were two nominees for the Chairman position, Mr. Jean-Louis Pirat from France and Mr. Göran K. Svensson from Sweden. The GASR WG members who were attending the meeting in Brussels voted, one vote per each country. The vast majority of the votes fell on Mr. Svensson's side and he is therefore the new Chairman of the GASR WG. While greeting the new Chairman and welcoming him the GASR WG also thanks the former Chairman who now hands over the chairmanship. The former Chairman, Mr. Ton Franssen from The Netherlands has served the GASR WG well and long and the group thanks him for his well known and appreciated contribution to the GASR.
